Essex Hinge of Friendship Chapter No 9296, based at Hutton, returned to their October meeting in style. This Convocation marks the Installation of the three Principals and the break had not dimmed the Chapter’s enthusiasm.

In addition the Charity Steward, Les Hammans, presented a 'virtual' cheque to the visiting APGP for the Festival 2022.

The outgoing 1st Principal, Keith Frost, who had been in Office 2 years, installed his successor, Paul Kelly in a faultless manner. Indeed both Paul and Keith Jebbitt, likewise installed their successors in full and without fault. This being the first time they had occupied their current Offices.

The Chapter was then treated to the three Robe Addresses being presented by 'Lay Companions' and then the Principals, Officers and Companion addresses all being delivered in fine style.

The visiting APGP, David Wilson, remarked how strong the Chapter was and how much the Companions enjoyed their Royal Arch. He thanked them for the generous donation to the Essex 2022 Festival and presented the Patron certificate to them in recognition.

In concluding David urged the Companions to keep in touch with all members of their Lodge and Chapter. To remind them that we are thinking of them and missing their company and that we hoped they will be able to see them again soon.
